There is something special about seeing the movement you’ve built appear in print, alongside the likes of parkrun, Yoga With Adrienne and Joe Wicks.

ParkPlay has had many milestones since we launched ParkPlay two and half years ago on the playing fields of Vange Primary School in Basildon. We secured support from Sport England; we signed our first commercial partner in Decathlon; and soon we’re about to celebrate launching our 50th ParkPlay and have our 10,000th ParkPlayer. But, there is something special about seeing the movement you’ve built appear in print, alongside the likes of parkrun, Yoga With Adriene and Joe Wicks.

Why does this matter? Our mission is to build happier, healthier communities nationwide through the power of play, and to achieve that we want to have a significant positive impact on thousands of communities across the country.

We want take community-led, free, fun, social play to hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of people. We need to spread the word, bring more partners on board, collaborate more widely and start hundreds of new events.

We loved the article in The Guardian by Kate Carter too. Her message that the key to an active life is enjoyment is our mantra.

All we ask of our PlayLeaders is that people leave with a big smile on their faces. Doing something you enjoy with the people you love in a friendly and welcoming setting is the key.
