New trustees join the board
We’re delighted to welcome three new trustees to ParkPlay!
At ParkPlay, we believe in the power of play to bring people together, build stronger communities, and improve wellbeing for everyone. That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome a group of passionate, experienced leaders to help us drive this mission forward.

Shelly Nash
Shelly is the Group People & Culture Director for London Marathon Events and the London Marathon Foundation, with nearly 20 years of experience leading inclusive people strategies across sectors. A lifelong advocate for movement and belonging, she understands how play transforms lives – especially for children.
Growing up in Croydon, Shelly found confidence and joy through sport and dance. Now a parent and community sports volunteer, she’s passionate about ensuring every child has access to play, regardless of background.

Julian Hare
With over 20 years of experience in the third sector, Julian has dedicated his career to supporting children and young people through roles in fundraising, communications, and marketing at charities including Sparks, Sue Ryder, NSPCC, Coram, and most recently as Deputy Director of Fundraising and Communications at Whizz Kidz.
Julian brings a deep understanding of the power of physical activity and play, shaped by his own experiences growing up and now as a parent of two young children. He’s passionate about driving positive change, inclusivity, and wellbeing, and is excited to support ParkPlay from a Trustee perspective – helping us build happier, healthier communities nationwide.

Michael Ledzion
Michael is a serial entrepreneur and the founder of Great Athletes, a social enterprise connecting Olympic and Paralympic athletes with schools to inspire more active, healthy, and resilient children. Prior to that Michael was founder, CEO, CFO and CSO in a range of technology hardware and software startups, raising over US$50m leading to several successful exits. Michael has a Master of Engineering Degree from Cambridge University, Michael now focuses on the vital role that physical activity and play have in shaping young minds and transforming lives.
