Safeguarding at ParkPlay
Safeguarding at ParkPlay

Everyone has the right to be protected from harm and at ParkPlay we are building a culture where our staff, PlayLeaders and volunteers prioritise safety positively and proactively.
What is safeguarding?
‘Safeguarding’ refers to any action taken to promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and protect them from harm.
‘Child Protection’ refers to the specific measures in place to prevent and respond to abuse, neglect or exploitation of children.
At ParkPlay we define a child as anyone who has yet to reach their 18th birthday and a vulnerable adult as anyone aged 18 or over who may be at risk of abuse due to the level of support or care they receive.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, although some people have a greater responsibility than others. The safeguarding of all people involved in ParkPlay is of utmost importance to us.
Our full Safeguarding Policy Statement can be viewed here.
